Summary/History: here u go
Personality:

Cless is your average every day male in a fantasy land, but of course he's an RPG main character so it comes to no surprise that can be quite a hotheaded guy who is loud. He was one of the earliest of this kind of character, but yet, that is not all there is to him. Even though he can be stubborn when he thinks he is right, or has a bad tendency to yell or shout when he gets really upset, he is usually the kind of guy people can get along with.

He is not afraid to reach out or put his effort into helping who he believes need assistance, even when it's not exactly the first priority in the first place. Like for example when he reaches Hamel and then decides to help out Rhea/Arche even though he doesn't have to. He certainly doesn't think he needs a reason to lend a helping hand or anything like that.

He's also pretty damn hard-working. He has a habit of getting up pretty early in the morning whenever he can to practice sword training... which usually consists of him practicing 2,000 slashes. Which is a lot of sword swinging around that would likely not be easy for anyone when you think about it. This also easily intersects into his great amount of determination to reach his goals or make them happen. He certainly does not kid around when he gets into it.

Noted that even though Cless lost a lot of his family relatives, he managed to keep most of that to himself and slug through it all anyway. Which that in of itself deserves a good mention, considering.

On the flipside, even though he's certainly determined to make things happen, if the situation presents itself, he is also not afraid to throw himself into harms way. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to get things done, although he certainly can possess the unfortunate moments when he doesn't think about it too much.

He also quite obviously thinks a good amount of good things about his friends and would quite obviously fight to the death for them.

Cless is rather protective of his friends, considers them dear to his heart, and is willing to go the extra mile to help them out. He, after all, throughout the first game thinks upon Chester's trapped state when he is sent back to the past with Mint, to the point where he has nightmares about his friend calling out to him for help.

There is a moment in the first game where Mint's mother shortly dies after speaking with Cless. Once he realizes Mint doesn't know (while the both of them are in a dungeon) he doesn't mention it in an attempt to protect her from having an adverse reaction and possibly making it more difficult in their situation to get a move on.

Also from around that point, as according to being resourceful Cless hadn't had a weapon, but finds the a sword he could use from the cell Mint's mother was in.

Then, of course, when he and Mint are sent into the past, finding the right people to help defeat Dhaos without knowing that much about how things are in the past at first. This excluding the words from the words from the villagers (from Olive Village) nearby and the book Edward Morrison wrote.

A moment of his naivety can be shown when he's later at a house in Japoni filled with traps, and keeps on walking despite the danger, thinking it'd be fine and the danger had passed. Throughout the entire game, his lack of experience and wisdom creeps in whenever Dhaos is concerned, since at the time he also happened to know no better than what he was told or heard. Then, when Klarth, a friend of his, mentions about he and Mint will understand (in reference to love) as they get older, Cless was innocently oblivious to what he meant.

Cless is also shown that he tends to think things in terms of black and white during the first game of Phantasia or that he didn't really liked to think too hard about things when he settled on something. For example, when Arche began to mention/ask about why Dhaos had only gone after certain places, Cless instantly rebuffed her rudely because he thought of Dhaos then as 100% evil. And of course he leapt to the conclusion/assumption that she was going to say something to suggest he wasn't. Even though it was to point out something else.

All in all, he's someone who desperately tries to do the right thing, even if he has a bit of a way to still go in being able to properly think things through before acting.

Powers/Abilities:

Just your average run of the mill human being. Who, you know, is actually pretty talented with a blade, and can properly defend himself in battle with one (and a shield if it should be necessary but usually goes for the sword-wielding sans shield, depending, at times). He is swift, and very much in shape.

He employs usage of sword style via Alvein Style Swordsmanship, and as with every typical Tales sword-wielding protagonist, has special attacks with his blade that are considered 'artes'.

He's also able to perform 3 special moves (called "Hi-Ougi" or known as 'Mystic Artes') that can take a lot to do, but are very powerful when pulled off.

For future reference, list of each individual ability.
